The Hobonichi Techo uses 12 soft colors across the book. The TSUKI no IRO stationery series incorporates these colors into simple designs.
This ink is a special collaboration made with Kakimori, a stationery shop that crafts fountain pens, inks, notebooks, and more, all created for “people who write with joy.”
Kakimori’s pigment ink is a water-based pigment ink that is water-resistant and resistant to fading even when exposed to light. It’s an ideal ink for writing down things you want to preserve for a long time, like a diary or journal.
The ink comes in a charming rounded bottle that, beyond its cute appearance, is designed at just the right height and with just the right stability to make filling a converter easy. The 20 mm opening, tilted at 8 degrees, is designed so that it is easy to insert delicate pen nibs.
This is an original TSUKI no IRO color created as a custom blend based on Kakimori’s ink. The color is a deep blue-gray inspired by the grid lines used on the monthly calendar and back pages of the Hobonichi Techo Original and Cousin books. It’s a color that blends naturally into the page.
We recommend shaking the pigment ink well before use and cleaning your writing instrument regularly after use. We hope it becomes a cherished companion as you quietly put your thoughts into words each day.

There’s more to the TSUKI no IRO stationery series. Enjoy exploring the world of all twelve colors. See the full lineup of the TSUKI no IRO series here.

- This product is a pigment ink for fountain pens.
- Shake the bottle well before use.
- Depending on the writing instrument used, issues such as ink clogging may occur. We recommend using this ink with the Frost Fountain Pen / Rollerball Pen.
- Wipe off any ink on the bottle threads or cap with a dry cloth before storing.
- If swallowed, give water and seek medical advice. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with water and seek medical advice.
- If the ink dries and hardens on the nib, the pen may skip or stop writing entirely. Please use the pen frequently to prevent the ink from drying.
- The plastic cap bottle includes an inner stopper. This stopper is designed to prevent ink leaks from vibrations or impacts during shipping. It is not necessary for storing the ink at home. However, we recommend using the inner stopper if you carry or ship the bottle after it has been opened.
- Store the ink away from high temperatures, high humidity, and direct sunlight.
