Arts&ScienceBaby BuffaloA6 Original Size

This cover is produced by Arts&Science, a brand and shop led by Sonya Park, who is also the creative director of the Hobonichi Techo Planner.

The leather for this edition is fine and smooth buffalo leather. It is made by a “semi-chrome process,” combining the advantages of tannin for durability and chromium for flexibility.

The cover is deep burgundy, and the inner cover is a brighter, vivid red. This allows you to enjoy the two different nuances when the techo is closed and when it is open.

It is a trifold type with a magnet and a tab as an accent to the design, making it easy to open the techo.

Inside the cover is a pocket where you can tuck in items you want to carry with your techo. The front is stamped with the logos of Arts&Science and Hobonichi.

It also includes a hook that can hold a pen by its clip.

The bookmark is kept simple and uses the same leather as the cover.

The longer you use it, the more beautiful the luster becomes. We hope you enjoy the change over time.

*How the leather ages will differ based on usage, time, and its environment.

*We also have the Planner, the full-English version of the book, directed by Sonya Park. It features an ingenious design, including bonus pages exclusive to the book.

*This cover is also available as an Arts&Science exclusive kip leather (cowhide) with a paint finish.

The Hobonichi Techo leather covers are made with all-natural materials that have their own unique appearance. Every leather cover is a one-of-a-kind, all-natural product, so you can feel good knowing your cover is the only one like it in the world. Here are some of the unique characteristics you can expect to find.

    - Markings that naturally occur during an animal’s life:

    Wrinkles, veins, texture, and scratches

    - Characteristics from the manufacturing process of natural leather:

Dark spots (occurs when components of the leather are exposed to iron in the air during the tanning and dyeing process)

    About the pen hook

The pen hook of this cover is designed to hold a pen by its clip.

Leather may contain preexisting wrinkles and marks

In order to allow customers the enjoyment of all-natural leather, the leather is processed in a way that retains its original feel. This may leave imperfections visible on the surface of the cover, such as wrinkles, scratches, stains, or vein marks.
Depending on the conditions in which the cover is used, natural oils of the leather may emerge and appear as stains. We ask for your understanding for these naturally-occurring characteristics of genuine leather.

Each leather piece has a unique look

This product uses leather with a highly distinctive character. The appearance of the leather varies depending on which part of the hide is used, so each item will have a one-of-a-kind expression. Please note that the pattern or texture may differ from what is shown in the product images.

Color transfer may occur due to friction, pressure, or moisture

Color may transfer to other items through friction or prolonged contact. This risk increases when the cover is exposed to water or sweat, so please take extra care when carrying it near clothing or other belongings.
