One day per page

  • 4-millimeter graph paper
    The graph-paper design has been slightly enlarged from the Japanese version to 4 millimeters to facilitate easy writing in any language.
  • Week number
    The daily pages include the week number, which is widely used overseas and counts what week of the year it is starting from the beginning of the year.
    *The week numbers follow the ISO 8601 international standard.
  • Moon phase and day of the year
    The daily pages include the day of the year, which counts what day it is starting from January 1, along with an illustration of the moon phase as seen in Japan on that day.
  • Customizable time line
    12:00 is the only time listed on the page to simply divide each day into morning and afternoon.
  • Dinner icon
    The fork-and-knife icon offers users a recurring place to record dinner plans.
  • Daily quote
    Each spread features quotes specially selected from the Hobonichi website, as well as quotes from Arts&Science’s Sonya Park, all presented in English.
  • Mini calendar
    The daily page also includes a mini monthly calendar at the bottom right of every two-page spread. The dates of the current pages are outlined.
  • Sundays highlighted in red
    While all the other daily pages are printed in charcoal gray, Sundays are printed in bright red for quick reference and an attractive contrast.
  • 2-color tab
    Monthly tabs in charcoal gray or red (Sundays) assists with easy navigation anywhere in the planner.
  • Turning the page to a new year
    This warming-up page helps you get ready for the new year. It’s a great place to write your reflections on the past year, list your goals for the year ahead, copy down important information from last year’s planner, or do anything else you need to feel prepared.

Tomoe River paper with a smooth writing experience
The techo book uses Tomoe River paper, a thin, light, and durable paper specially designed for planners. It’s characterized by its ability to hold ink well and provide a smooth writing experience.
Sturdy bookbinding that keeps pages secure
Another key feature is its durability. It's designed to withstand a full year of use, not only with repeated opening and closing but also with the extra bulk from papers, ticket stubs, and other items you paste into it.
Stress-free by opening flat 180 degrees
The book opens flat without the need for you to hold down the pages to keep the book open. This is achieved with thread-stitch binding, a bookbinding method that involves sewing and binding the book with thread.
A very flexible design that’s easy on the eyes
The color tones and thickness of the lines are specially designed to be easy on the eyes and not get in the way of your writing.
Rounded corners
The page corners are rounded to minimize creasing and damage to the edges when carried around or stored in a bag.
