The Hobonichi Japan Railway Map is a collection of rail maps of major cities across Japan, including the greater Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka areas, as well as Sapporo, Sendai, Kamakura, and Hiroshima. It covers JR lines, subway lines, and private railways all on a single sheet, and has been one of the most popular items in our original stationery lineup year after year.
What sets it apart is that every year, we reach out to people across Japan through the Hobonichi website and ask actual local riders to give each line a real-world “neighborhood check.” It may well be the most thoroughly reviewed collection of printed railway maps in Japan.
We offer three sizes: the A6 size, which fits into the pocket of an Original cover; the A5 size, which contains the same information scaled up to roughly twice the size and fits into the pocket of a Cousin cover; and the Weeks size, which fits neatly inside a Weeks book.
Note: These railway maps were created using information available up to March 2, 2026, and were reviewed via the Hobonichi website through March 13, 2026.
