The Hobonichi Online Store is a shopping website that sells various original products on the Hobonichi website operated by Hobonichi Co., Ltd.
In addition to the Hobonichi Techo, we carry a variety of products that make everyday life more enjoyable, such as Yasashii Towels, Hobonichi Haramaki, Curry No Ongaeshi, and the Hobonichi Globe.
Items sold at the Hobonichi Store can be purchased together with the Hobonichi Techo. If you’re interested, please take a look at the other items along with the Hobonichi Techo.

If you are shopping with us for the first time

Cover sizes and colors may vary slightly between products. Best efforts are made to ensure consistent sizes and specifications, but slight differences are inevitable because the covers are assembled by hand.

To place an order on the Hobonichi Store
For International Orders:
1. Select Shipping Destination Country/Region
When you access our site, a popup window will appear asking you to select your shipping destination.
Please choose your country or region for delivery.
*If the popup window does not appear, you can select your shipping destination by clicking the flag icon in the top right corner of the page.
2. Add Items to Your Cart
On your desired product page, click the "Add to Cart" button located below the product.
If the "Add to Cart" button doesn't appear even after the item has gone on sale, please refer to "The “add to cart” button doesn’t show up even though the item has gone on sale."
Then click the "Proceed to checkout" button.
3. Log In
Click the "Log In" button and sign in to your Hobonichi ID using your registered method.
If you've already logged in, you can proceed with your order without re-entering your login information. Your logged-in account will be displayed; simply click the "Continue with this Hobonichi ID" button.
4. Specify Your Shipping Address
The "Select Shipping Address" screen will appear.
If you wish to send the order to yourself at a previously registered address, click "Ship to this address."
If you want to send the order to someone other than yourself, click "Register another address" or ""Ship to another address in the bottom right.
5. Select Shipping Address and Payment Method and Confirm Your Order
Please fill in each field and select your preferred payment method.
Please confirm that all details are correct, then click "Pay and place order."
6. Confirm Your Order Number
Log in to your account and check your order history from "Recent Orders."
For Domestic Orders:
1. Add Items to Your Cart

3. Specify Your Shipping Address
The "Select Shipping Address" screen will appear.
If you wish to send the order to yourself at a previously registered address, click "Ship to this address."
For gifts or if you want to send the order to someone other than yourself, click "Register another address" in the bottom right, enter the recipient's information, and then click "Ship to this address."
4. Select Your Payment Method
Choose your preferred payment method, then click "Edit."
5. Select Shipping Options
If necessary, specify your desired shipping options.
6. Review Your Order and Confirm
The order details and shipping address will be displayed.
To change any information, click the "Edit" button to the right of the relevant section.
Please confirm that all details are correct, then click "Finalize Order."
7. Confirm Your Order Number
Once your order is complete, a 9-digit order number will appear on the screen. Please be sure to confirm it.
Additionally, an email with the subject "Order Confirmed" will be sent to your registered email address within 30 minutes of completing your order. The destination email address will be displayed on the screen, so please confirm it.
Due to email reception settings or other reasons, you may not receive the order confirmation email. However, if a 9-digit order number has been issued, your order is complete.
You can also check your order history from "Recent Orders."
If your order appears there, your order is complete, even if you haven't received the "Order Confirmation" email.
Heavy website traffic is expected immediately after the beginning of sales of the Hobonichi Techo 2026. During periods of high traffic, you will be directed to an online “virtual waiting room,” where you will be guided to the login screen in order.
Adding items to your cart does not guarantee stock reservation; items in your cart may sell out before you press the “Finalize order” button. Additionally, if there is no activity for a specific period of time with items in your cart, the products will be automatically removed from your cart. For the items you wish to purchase, please complete the order placement process as soon as possible.
At the Hobonichi Store, we will be making some changes since last year to how the Hobonichi Techo 2026 lineup is sold to customers in the United States.

International
Orders shipping to destinations outside of Japan will go through a cross-border eCommerce service called Global-e.
There are over 150 payment methods available from around the world so that overseas customers will be able to make purchases using payment methods they use on a daily basis.
It’s also possible to prepay customs duties and taxes upon checkout. These fees can be calculated and added to your total payment at the time of purchase rather than at the time of delivery.

This option may not be available depending on your order.
Orders will be shipped no sooner than the following business day. Due to the influx of orders during the new lineup launch, products may temporarily take as many as 10 business days to ship(or up to 20 business days for certain international regions).
*If you order items with different shipping dates, your order will be shipped together according to the latest shipping date.
Packages will take longer to arrive depending on the location of the shipping address. Customers will receive a “Notification of Shipment” e-mail once the order has been shipped, so please use the tracking number included in this e-mail to check the status of your order.

We ship international orders using FedEx.

Domestic
Domestic orders are shipped with Sagawa Express (Hikyaku Express).
You can choose between standard home delivery and Yu-Packet delivery (for items up to 3 cm thick and 1 kg in weight). The Yu-Packet option will only be available at checkout for orders that qualify. For standard home delivery, you can select a preferred delivery time slot from the options below.

You can specify a delivery time upon checkout. The range of available dates changes by season. If you would like to specify a preferred delivery time, please select from the list of available dates displayed during checkout.
The delivery time request function may be unavailable during busy seasons. If there are no dates available to choose from, the delivery time request function is not available. If there is no specified delivery time, the package will be shipped as soon as possible.
International
Shipping fees for international orders depend on the delivery destination and order contents. You can check the actual shipping fee on the final confirmation screen before confirming your order.
Domestic
Orders placed within Japan have a flat shipping fee of 880 yen (tax included).
Starting August 1st, 2025, the Hobonichi Online Store now offers Hikyaku Yu-Packet deliveries for certain orders. For orders shipped within Japan, if size and weight conditions are met, you can use this service for a shipping fee of 330 yen (tax included). On the order confirmation screen, you can change to Hikyaku Yu-Packet delivery by selecting the delivery method within the shipping options screen.
*This option will only be displayed for eligible orders.
Returns for Personal Reasons
Customers can return items within 14 days of delivery. Shipping fees will be the responsibility of the customer.
Returning/exchanging Defective Products
We carefully inspect all products, but on the off chance you receive a defective product, we will provide an exchange or a refund. Please contact us within 14 days of delivery.
When you purchase an eligible Hobonichi Techo product from the official Hobonichi Online Store, at TOBICHI (Tokyo or Kyoto), or at a Hobonichi-hosted event, you’ll receive the relevant store exclusive(s) along with your purchase.
The bonus item varies depending on the product you purchase.

When a product is sold out, you can sign up to receive a restock notification email. If the product has been confirmed for a restock, you will receive an email notifying you of the planned restock date.
*This service is only available for the Hobonichi Techo and the Drawer Pouch. Restock notification emails are not available for accessories.
*Restock notification emails are not a guarantee that an item will successfully restock or that you will definitely be able to purchase the item.
*Some high demand products may sell out shortly after the restock is released.
