This A6 notepad has 155 pages. The paper inside is blank except for a lightly printed illustration, and the pages are glued in instead of sewn, making them very easy to rip out for shopping lists or passing along messages.



The front depicts the beginning of the picture book Ohikkoshi by the artist duo 100%ORANGE―a scene called Squirrel Appears. As it sits there in the hollow of the tree by itself, perhaps this squirrel is looking towards the place it’s going next.



The back features a drawing of a squirrel after it’s finished its move, eating an acorn with a satisfied expression. The design has been arranged so that the tree on the front and the one on the back connect, looking like one single tree. Even on the pages inside, the figures of squirrels walking in a line are printed in a deep, rich yellow ink.
