The 2026 edition of the Hobonichi Techo Official Guidebook explores the joy of the freedom of the Hobonichi Techo through full-color photographs and articles across 160 pages.
Special Feature: “Thank goodness for the Hobonichi Techo”
The theme of the 2026 official guidebook is “Thank goodness for the Hobonichi Techo.” We talked with many people who shared with us what makes them glad they’ve got the Hobonichi Techo in their lives. Interview participants include music producer and bassist Seiji Kameda, who uses his techo to have conversations with himself, and actress Tamae Ando, whose techo changed up her morning routine. Other usage example articles cover how to use the techo as an idea book when writing anything from novels to recipe books, keeping a diary that talks about life with the family or pets, a techo that’s shared among everyone at a shop, and more.
Lots of stationery usage examples!
In addition to usage examples for the Hobonichi Techo, we also introduce ways to use stationery and accessories that are fun and handy to use alongside the techo. This includes dedicating pages to comparing different glue, stickers, washi tape, or other stationery items used for pasting or taping things into the pages. There’s also a section that introduces the TSUKI no IRO series in depth, which is a new set of stationery items made with the different colors per month in the Hobonichi Techo book. Team members who worked on the Hobonichi Techo Official Guidebook also share some of their favorite stationery and accessories.
