iyo okumiA Story About MeWeeks Hardcover Book / Weekly Horizontal / ENG or JPN edition / Jan start / Mon start

  • 2026 New

This Weeks is based on an embroidered work designed by embroidery artist and illustrator iyo okumi.

okumi’s work features motifs such as animals, plants, and things that you can find in everyday life around you. The intricate embroidery is worked into fantastical and romantic designs that capture okumi’s unique worldview.

Created with the idea that it would envelop each person’s own unique story, this Weeks was named A Story About Me and printed with one of okumi’s hand embroidered pieces.

A white dog relaxing in the grass and a black cat quietly joining it are beautifully surrounded by a simple and cute lace border in the image of wildflowers and butterflies.

The gentle lay of the fur on the dog and cat stand out as something that can only be expressed through the delicate stitches of hand embroidery. The bouquet at the top of the design, which almost acts like a crown of flowers, is pressed in silver foil to gently shine in the light.

The smooth, lustrous finish of the Weeks makes every detail of the delicate embroidery stand out. The year 2026 is pressed in silver foil.

On the back, you can find cords of wrapped thread. Maybe these were used for the embroidery on the front?

We have prepared other items using okumi’s embroidery work, such as a pencil board, clear stickers, and message memos that feature okumi’s colored pencil artwork, which you can also use to match your techo.

okumi describes that as embroidery requires both immense time and labour, the thread that flows expresses both the flow of time and the embroiderer’s feelings. We hope that you are able to take the time and create your very own story with this techo.

Press marks or shines may appear on the corners

You may notice press marks, slight whitening, or a glossy finish on the corners of the front and back covers. These are unavoidable results of the binding process.

About the paper used (techo)

The Tomoe River paper designed for planners is known for its thinness and smooth writing surface. However, depending on the type and amount of ink or pen used—as well as environmental conditions—some ink may bleed through or take longer to dry. We recommend testing your pens on an inconspicuous area first, or using a pencil board or blotting paper for best results.
