This is a techo cover for the Hobonichi 5-Year Techo created in collaboration with Hollywood Ranch Market, an original brand from Seilin & Co.

Hollywood Ranch Market was launched in 1972 based on casual-style clothing. The brand’s first jeans, “PP4,” is loved by the fans to this day, with memories for many. This cover is a scaled-down version of its hip pocket design. As the feature of the jeans, the back pocket is designed with the essence of Hollywood Ranch Market.

The denim’s unique durability and indigo-blue color, which changes richly and distinctively with each touch, are also its charms.

Since it is an actual pocket, you can store small items such as sticky notes and lipsticks.

The Hollywood Ranch Market tag on the left side of the front cover pocket is the same as that of “PP4;” we made the design as realistic as possible.

The pen hook inside the cover is designed to hold a pen by its clip, and the pen fills out the cover nicely when closed.

On the left side of the inner cover, there is a pocket for cards, sticky notes, and other small items.

About Hollywood Ranch Market

An original brand by Seilin & Co. Established in 1972 in Sendagaya to offer casual fashion, including used denim Western shirts, Chambray shirts, and button-up flannels. Moved to Daikanyama in 1979, after which they started creating timeless and comfortable items, starting with bandanas, and turned it into a brand.

Unique and dependable

We collaborated with Blue Blue, another Seilin & Co. brand, in last year’s edition. Many of our users loved it, leading us to focus once again on the durability and beauty of denim that changes over time and create a cover for the 5-Year Techo.

This edition’s design with a real back pocket has quite an impact, unlike last year’s delicate “Sashiko” cover. The boldness of making a hip-pocket techo cover also shares the uniqueness of Hollywood Ranch Market.

As a material that can be enjoyed over time, our previous 5-Year Techo covers were made of leather, and with denim joining the lineup, we believe even more people will adore it. Just like in Blue Blue, we recreated the comfort and dependability of a partner similar to that of clothing. The indigo-blue color changes richly and distinctively with each touch, which is worth spending your five years with.
