With the concept of “Freedom, like drawing a picture,” Tolight releases new collections each season featuring the designer’s own drawings as a focal point. This techo cover was made in collaboration with Tolight.

Contrasting the dark, soft plaid fabric, the printed flowers are bold and eye-catching, and look like they have been directly drawn onto the background. The cover is overflowing with the vitality inherent to plants. Although this is a flower print, it is far from being too sweet, and the sophisticated tone of the design makes this a perfect match for anyone regardless of gender or age.

The drawings of the flowers were specifically made for the Hobonichi Techo. The acrylic paint adds a vivid coloring, while the print also captures the delicate yet distinct brush strokes of the painting.

The cover interior comes in a muted beige. The pocket on the right side is decorated with two paintings of yellow flowers and buds, and the yellow and green ribbon bookmarks serve as accents.

The left pocket showcases a white flower, and the logo for Tolight is subtly embossed onto it in gray.

This cover lets you experience the beauty of flowers, regardless of whether the techo is opened or closed. This item was created to shine some sunlight onto your everyday life, to bring you positivity and happiness.

About Tolight

A brand by the designer Mei Aoyama. The name “Tolight” comes from the words “try” and “light,” and expresses the desire to keep moving towards the light and continue facing challenges head on. With the concept of freedom as one has when drawing, the brand releases products with a focus on apparel that features drawings by the designer herself. We’ve compiled a list of warnings, potential issues, and tips to keep in mind for this particular product. Additionally, the color of the product may be slightly different in actuality than compared to how it appeared on a computer or smartphone screen.

Cover may contain variations in stitching or loose lining: Due to the structure of the cover that opens flat 180 degrees, exterior stitching areas may appear puckered and lining material may be loose.

Pen holder fits pens up to 13.5 mm wide: The pen holder is designed to fit the 12.2 mm (0.48") diameter Jetstream pen offered as a free Hobonichi Store Exclusive Bonus. Pens with certain shapes and materials may be difficult to pull through the holder. The holder can fit pens up to 13.5 mm (0.53") in diameter.

Color and print may vary slightly: The cover's color and print pattern are created by dyeing or printing onto white fabric. While we take care to ensure consistency during production, slight variations in color or pattern may occur between individual items. This may also happen across a single cover, such as a pocket compared to the rest of the cover. Minor print blurring or uneven coloring may also be present. In addition, on rare occasions, there may be small black or white dots visible on the print. This is an unavoidable aspect of the manufacturing process.
